Our parish celebrates First Communion when children are in Second Class. The parish, the school, and the family share preparation for First Communion.

The parish preparation programme allows parents and families to be involved in their children’s preparation.

A significant part of the programme will take place at Sunday masses during the year. Parents will be advised of the specific masses to attend with their children.

First Holy Communion Dates for 2026

First Holy Communion 2026:

The 2nd class children from St. Mary’s N.S. will receive their First Holy Communion on Saturday 9th May at 11.30 am.

The 2nd class children from Dooish N.S., Robertson N.S. and Welchtown N.S. will receive
their First Holy Communion on Saturday 16th May at 11.30 am.
